Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Digangana Suryavanshi To Play New Lead After Shivangi Joshi's Exit? 'Veera' Actress Reacts

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Digangana Suryavanshi has finally reacted to the rumours which suggested that she would play the new female lead in the daily soap starring Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan.

Mumbai: ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their television sets with its drama-packed episodes. At a time when shows go off air within six months, the daily soap has been entertaining the masses since the past 12 years. The show starring Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan has remained in headlines ever since the rumours of the duo leaving ‘YRKKH’ surfaced on the internet.

If gossip mills are to be believed, Shivangi and Moshin will shoot for their final episode in the last week of September 2021. The makers are yet to confirm the rumours.

Speculations are also rife that Digangana Suryavanshi might play the new female lead in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ after the generation leap. The ‘Veera’ actress, while talking to a leading daily, refuted the rumours about her playing the protagonist in the popular serial.

Digangana told Times Of India that she has shifted her focus towards movies and hence, won’t be working in any daily soaps. She revealed that she is busy shooting for her four different movies and OTT projects.

“Any news around me entering a daily soap isn’t true at all. All my dates are completely blocked,” Suryavanshi told TOI.

Who Is Digangana Suryavanshi?

The popular actress became a household name after playing the titular role in ‘Ek Veer Ki Ardaas... Veera’. She later participated in Salman Khan’s popular reality show- ‘Bigg Boss 9’. Digangana has also worked in Hindi films like ‘Jalebi’ and ‘FryDay’.

Will Shivangi-Mohsin Quit ‘Yeh Rishta’?

The two TV stars have refrained from speaking on their rumoured exit from ‘YRKKH’. The duo joined the show in 2016. Their sizzling chemistry has always worked wonders for the daily soap, which airs on Star Plus. Hina Khan and Karan Mehra played the respective roles of Akshara and Naitik when the show was launched in 2009.
