Crime Patrol Actor Shafique Ansari Passes Away In Mumbai After Long Battle With Cancer

Shafique Ansari, who played several roles in different episodes of 'Crime Patrol', left for his heavenly abode on May 10.

New Delhi: TV actor Shafique Ansari, who featured in several episodes of Sony TV’s popular show ‘Crime Patrol’, passed away in Mumbai on Sunday (May 10). He left for his heavenly abode after a long battle with cancer. Shafique started his career as an assistant director & writer and later switched to acting. CINTAA confirmed the actor’s death on its official Twitter handle. “#CINTAA expresses it’s deepest condolence on the demise of Mr. Ansari Shafique (Member since : June 2008),” CINTAA’s tweet read. According to a report in an entertainment portal, Shafique Ansari was battling cancer since the past few years. “Shafique Ansari was suffering from stomach cancer for a few years and he lost the battle to the deadly disease today," a source told Tellychakkar. A Twitter user shared Ansari's pictures from the hospital on the micro-blogging site. The actor can be seen sporting a bald look. Shafique Ansari was one of the screenwriters of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer ‘Baghban’. We extend our deepest condolences to Shafique’s family. The film industry lost two its stalwarts- Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor last month. Several Bollywood celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone mourned their deaths on social media.
