New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has severely affected the entertainment industry in the past two months. The makers of several films had to postpone the release date as the cinema halls were shut due to COVID-19 lockdown. The shooting for all films, TV shows and ads were also halted to the nationwide lockdown. The Maharashtra government has given the permission to resume shooting in the non-containment zones. The producers will have to follow certain guidelines while shooting for their projects.

Several TV shows including ‘Beyhadh 2’, ‘Nazar 2’, ‘Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein’ went off air due to the COVID-19 crisis. The channels have reportedly asked the producers to slash their budgets.

Gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that Simran Sacheva has been replaced in the popular show ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’. The actress had said that the makers pressurized her to take a pay cut. It was even rumoured that Punjabi actress Drishtii Grehwal will step into her shoes and play the new Harleen.

Simran, while talking to an entertainment portal, has now confirmed that she is not quitting the show. Yes, you read that right.

The ‘Shapath’ actress had a word with the makers and the two sides have sorted issues. She won’t quit the show and hence ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ won’t witness any replacement. Isn’t this good news?

"I had a discussion with the producers and everything is sorted now. So I am not quitting the show anymore and hence there will not be any replacement. And I will only continue to play Harleen on the show," Simran told SpotboyE.

The production house also confirmed the news. They said that there was a miscommunication between the two sides.

"Yes Simran is very much part of the show. Some miscommunication had happened but all is fine now," one of the producers told the portal.

‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ stars Avinesh Rekhi and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia in lead roles. The daily soap, which airs on Colors channel, is one of the most popular shows across all GECs.

Interestingly, the character of Harleen Kaur was earlier played by Mansi Sharma, who quit the show last year in September due to health issues.
