Ankita Lokhande says ‘I have learnt to love myself', post her break-up with Sushant Singh Rajput

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput were once one of the most loved couples on the small screen. The two actors, who played the lead roles in Ekta Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta, went their different ways two and a half years ago. The beauitful actress is gearing up for her Bollywood debut with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles. The Marathi mulgi recently opened up on how her break-up with the Kedernath actor changed her personality and her choices in life in an interview with a leading daily. Ankita told DNA that she was trying to be a homemaker two years ago when she was in a relationship with the Kai Po Che actor. The diva also added that the break-up didn’t affect her profession but she was not able to balance her work and love.
The former Jhalak Dikh Laja contestant told the leading daily that she has learnt to love herself post the break-up. ‘’I have learnt to love myself. I had forgotten to do that. Loving yourself helps because if you don’t respect your own feelings, how do you expect others to do that? Also, earlier, I didn’t know how to balance things. Today, I know how to do that,’’ Ankita was quoted as saying by DNA.
Grapevines were buzzing with rumours that the actress, who will be seen as Jhalkari Bai in Manikarnika, is dating businessman Vicky Jain. When asked about her marriage plans, Ankita told DNA she is still waiting for her prince charming and has no plans to get hitched right now. Ankita Lokhande also said that she doesn’t have a problem in being friends with her exes. When questioned if she is still in touch with Sushant, the 33-year-old actress told her work has kept her busy and she didn’t get time to do so.
