Amidst Rumours Of Parth Samthaan Quitting 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2', Show Witnesses NEW Entry

'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2' has been making waves ever since the news of Parth Samthaan leaving the show hit the internet.

New Delhi: Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ is hogging all the limelight these days ever since the news of Parth Samthaan quitting the show spread like wildfire on the internet. Parth, who recently resumed shooting for the show after recovering from COVID-19, has reportedly decided to bid adieu to the show. The TV heartthrob wants to focus on his health and upcoming projects and hence, has decided to quit the show. Speculations were also rife that Erica Fernandes aka Prerna would also leave the show. Contrary to the rumours floating on the internet, the actress is not saying goodbye to ‘Kasautii 2’. We had earlier informed you that Kunal Thakkar, who played the role of Kaushik in the romantic saga, has been replaced. Akash Jagga has stepped into Kunal’s shoes and he is now playing new Kaushik. Interestingly, the newbie actor had auditioned for ‘Naagin 5’ but he received a casting call for ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’. Akash, who is originally from Jaipur, is essaying the role of Anurag Basu’s nephew in the show.

Akash, while talking to a leading daily, revealed how he bagged the show. “While I was in Jaipur, I made some self-test videos and had actually auditioned for Naagin 5. Instead I got shortlisted for KZK2. After a few days I got a call from my manager saying 'How about a role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay?'” And I was like “Why not?,” the actor told Times Of India’. For the uninitiated, Kaushik Basu is Rakhi and Subodh's son in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’.

Talking about ‘KZK 2’, the makers are yet to make an official announcement about Parth’s exit. Some reports suggested that Pearl V Puri, Barun Sobti and Vivek Dahiya are in contention to replace Parth as new Anurag. It remains to be seen if the production house is able to convince the ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaarian’ actor to change his decision or not. The TRPs of ‘Kasautii 2’ have witnessed a drop in the past few weeks.
