Her friends and family flooded the comment section wishing her speedy recovery. Sophie Choudry commented, “Omg… sending you love and light… I know both you and your heart will be stronger than ever.”

One of the users wrote, “We are so blessed to have the courage and power by Maa Durga and here you are 😍…” “OMG! Take care of yourself! Good to know that you are doing well now Alhamdulillah! Much love to you always,” wrote another.

The actress had earlier spoken about her battle with Addison's disease in various interviews before the release of her comeback show 'Aarya.' She was diagnosed with the auto-immune condition in 2014.

Last year in an article that she wrote for 'The Week', the actress described it as the lowest phase of her life. She wrote, "Of all the lows that I have faced, my health has possibly been the one thing that did shake me up. I am suffering from Addison’s disease, an autoimmune disorder in which the adrenal glands do not produce enough hormones. I was diagnosed in 2014 and it has been pretty traumatising ever since. Having to be steroid dependent has a negative impact on you, but I thank God that at least I was in a position to get the best medical help and do what needs to be done. It made me question whether I would be able to sustain this long enough, how it would impact my kids and the responsibilities that I have. It made me question a lot of things and made me realise how health is wealth. It really is."

Sushmita will soon be seen in Aarya season 3. She unveiled the first look teaser of the show in January.

Talking about the show, the actress told Ians, "Aarya' is synonymous with my name. I have lived as Aarya for two whole seasons and the love received by the audiences has only encouraged me to do more. Walking on the sets of Aarya Season 3 makes me feel at home and gives me a sense of empowerment."
