Sunny is married to Daniel Weber and the couple have three kids together, daughter(adopted) Nisha and twin boys Noah and Asher.

She has recently launched her new music video 'Panghat' with Kanika Kapoor and Arindram Chakraborty. The song has faced some controversies as various religious bodies have accused the actor of hurting religious sentiments. The song is from the 1960 film Kohinoor and was sung by the maestro Mohammed Rafi.
