After being discovered hanging at her home in Chennai, Meera was reportedly taken to a private hospital. After examining her, the doctors declared her dead. She was reportedly experiencing pressure and receiving therapy for it.

Vijay Antony and his family received a shocking discovery on September 19 when his daughter Meera was discovered dead at their Alwarpet, Chennai, home at around 3 am. She was 16 years old and attending one of Chennai's renowned schools. Unverified rumours claim that the girl was dealing with depression.
When the housekeeper discovered Meera in her room, she was immediately sent to a hospital in Chennai. She was brought dead, according to the medical professionals who examined her. More information is awaited.
