New Delhi: A case has been filed against former AIADMK leader AV Raju, as Trisha shared a notice in her response to the politician's disparaging comments. The actor posted images of the notification that Raju received on X. The notice states that Raju has been served a notice about a defamation case against him.

Trisha has made a number of requests of Raju in the notification. She has requested that the lawmaker abstain from further damaging her reputation by stating such things in public. Additionally, he is requested to take the appropriate steps to take down all online publications and videos that reference his remarks.


 




AV Raju in addition, has to provide Trisha his sincere apologies within 24 hours of getting the notification. A reputable Tamil and English daily with a readership of over five lakh copies ought to publish the apology. Raju needs to upload a YouTube apologetic video as well. Trisha has threatened Raju with applicable legal and criminal procedures if he doesn't comply with the requests.


AV Raju, the former head of the AIADMK, recently made some obscene claims against Trisha in a public appearance. In 2017, when a number of AIADMK leaders were imprisoned in a Koovathur resort following the passing of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, he made hints that the actor had taken payment for sexual favours from a politician.


The claims made by Raju sparked fierce criticism from moviegoers and celebrities. Numerous well-known individuals, including director Cheran, actor Vishal, and filmmaker Selvamani, came out in favour of Trisha and denounced Raju for his unfounded accusations.
