New Dellhi: Spandana, wife of Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra, passed away on Saturday night due to a heart attack. Spandana was in Bangkok at the time of the unfortunate incident. Family sources revealed that her death was caused by a cardiac arrest and a combination of low blood pressure. Spanda was only 41 years old.


Who was Spandana?


Spandana was the daughter of retired Assistant Commissioner of Police( ACP), BK Shivaram. She married Vijay in 2007 and the couple has a son, named Shourya. 


Spandana was born in Bangalore in 1985. She graduated at Stella Maris College in Bengaluru and MES College in Kerala.


As per an India TV report, Spandana also produced a couple of her husband's films besides also making a cameo appearance on V Ravichandran's 2016 movie 'Apoorva'.


Spandana's brother, Rakshith Shivaram, holds a prominent position as a state general of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC).


As per the same India TV report, Spandana hailed from Belhangadi in Dakshina Kannada and resided in Bengaluru with her husband and son.


 






Only a few days ago, Vijay and Spandana had met with the Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC chief DK Shivakumar. Vijay had also shared a picture on his official Instagram handle which he captioned, "An absolute honour meeting our Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka Sri D.K.Shivakumar Sir. Thank you very much sir."


Spandana's death happened just 19 days before she was to celebrate with her husband their 16th wedding anniversary. 


Vijay and Spandana met each other for the first time in Malleshwaram, an Asianet News report said. Their instant connection led to stronger feelings getting developed and the two gradually fell in love. Later, Vijaya proposed to Spandana and she gladly accepted his proposal.


Meanwhile, Vijay works as an actor and singer in the Kannada film industry. He also has the 2016 Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor to his credit. He was also the winner of 'Bigg Boss Kannada' and served as a judge in 'Dance Karnataka Dance' reality show.
