New Delhi: Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra's wife Spandana Raghavendra passed away on Sunday night following a heart attack. She was 41. When the incident happened, Spandana was on holiday in the capital of Thailand and had plans to come home on Monday. As per reports, she had low blood pressure when she returned to her room after shopping, which led to a heart attack.
After suffering cardiac arrest, Spandana was reportedly taken to a hospital in Bangkok. The doctor tried his best to save her, but it was not possible. According to reports, her husband, Vijay Raghavendra, has already arrived in Bangkok. On August 7, her body will arrive in Banglore.
Spandana, who got married to Vijay in 2007, is the daughter of retired police officer BK Shivaram. Just a few weeks before the couple's 16th wedding anniversary, a tragic event happened.
Siddaramaiah, the chief minister of Karnataka, and DK Shivakumar, his deputy, expressed condolences to the family. Siddaramaiah wrote in an post, “The news of the untimely death of famous Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra's wife Spandana has come as a shock. I pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul. My condolences to the families of Vijaya Raghavendra and BK Shivaram who are saddened by the loss of Spandana.”
Vijay has had a successful career in the Kannada cinema industry as an actor and singer. For the film 'Shivayogi Sri Puttayyajja', he received the 2016 Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor. The actor was the Bigg Boss Kannada season one champion and a judge on the Dance Karnataka Dance reality series. For those who are unaware, Spandana had a supporting role in the 2016 film 'Apoorva'.
