Rakshit Shetty On Current Equation With Ex Fiance Rashmika Mandanna: We Message Each Other Occasionally

New Delhi: Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty, who were engaged for a short time before the Animal actor called it off, appear to be getting along just well. Rashmika continues to receive criticism from Rakshit followers on social media, but the 777 Charlie star claims that the two actors are still friendly. The actor claimed in a recent interview that they occasionally text one another.

Rakshit was asked about the current bond between Rashmika, Rishab Shetty (of Kantara fame), and him. To give some background to the query, Rashmika made her acting debut in Rishab's film Kirk Party, which was also produced by Rakshit, who also starred as the film's main character. Rashmika alluded to Kirk Party's production company in an interview when discussing her debut without disclosing its name. Fans of Rishab and Rakshit felt disrespected by her use of air quotes while speaking about the production company.

Rashmika was additionally questioned about Kantara after its release, which was met with universal acclaim. Fans of Kannada film were not happy with the actor's revelation that she hasn't seen the movie and condemned her for being unfaithful to the Kannada industry.

So, when Rakshit was asked about the current equation between the trio, he said, “Rishab… I am not sure (laughs). Me and Rashmika… we message each other once in a while. Not like a constant touch. But whenever my film releases, she wishes me, and I wish her whenever her film releases. On birthdays, we exchange wishes.”

"She always had big dreams. She is achieving it. She should be given credit for that," he added.

Rakshit Shetty is actively promoting his recently released, well-reviewed film Sapta Saagaradaache Ello - Side A. Rashmika is gearing up for the release of Animal, Rainbow, and Pushpa: The Rule.
