New Delhi: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda are currently in Turkey shooting for their film ‘Kushi’. On Thursday, Samantha shared a picture on social media with Vijay and expressed her love for their friendship.
Posting a sweet picture of the duo, she wrote in the caption: "Sees you at your best, sees you at your worst. Sees you come last, sees you come first. Sees your lows, sees your highs. Some friends gently standby. What a year it has been!! #Kushi."
Having received the sweet gesture from Samantha, Vijay also reshared her post on his social media as he wrote: "Favourite girl."
Earlier on Thursday, Vijay Devarakonda also posted a series of pictures from Turkey with the caption, “Turkey and food.”
Samantha’s last outing 'Shaakuntalam' didn’t do well at the box office. Reacting to the film’s failure, Telugu producer Chitti Babu had claimed that her career "as the heroine is finished and she cannot get back to stardom" and should accept whatever roles are to her and not be "selective."
The producer also accused Samantha of trying to "gain sympathy."
He said: "Every time sentiment will not work. If the role and film are good, people will watch. All these are cheap and insane acts. I wonder how Samantha who lost her heroine status suited for the role of Shakuntala. I do not have any interest in Shaakuntalam."
The actor didn’t respond to the producer’s comment. Apart from 'Kushi', she will also be seen in the Indian version of 'Citadel' along with Varun Dhawan.
Helmed by 'The Family Man' creators Raj and DK, 'Citadel' is the Indian counterpart of the larger international series of the same name which has been originally created by the director duo, Russo Brothers. The global version of the series stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden.
On the other hand, apart from Kushi, Vijay has other 2 untitled projects, one being VD12 and the other one with 'Geetha Govindam' director, in the pipeline.
