New Delhi: 'Guntur Kaaram', directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starring Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela, will be released on OTT this week. Despite multiple releases, the movie did well at the box office and is still doing well in Andhra Pradesh as compared to Telangana and elsewhere. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie made about Rs 124.82 crore net in India in 23 days. Also, the Mahesh Babu starrer earned about Rs 177.67 crore globally.


The movie will be available on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi on February 9, ahead of Valentine's Week. Netflix announced the details on their Instagram page, stating, “It is about to get very hot in here because Rowdy Ramana is here and he is on fire. Guntur Kaaram, coming to Netflix on 9 February in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. #GunturKaaramOnNetflix”






After 'Athadu' and 'Khaleja', this is Trivikram and Mahesh's third film together. When the movie first came out, it got mixed reviews, but revenues gradually increased and held steady until Sankranthi. The film made its theatrical release on January 12, 2024.


In the movie, Mahesh plays a rowdy businessman from Guntur named Ramana, who is estranged from his mother Ramya Krishnan, a potential politician. He protests and decides to find out why his mother left him 25 years ago when his grandfather (Prakash Raj) orders him to cut off all contact with her. Meenakshi Chaudhary played his cousin in the movie, while Sreeleela played his love interest.


'Guntur Karam', which is written and directed by Trivikram, and produced by S. Radha Krishna under the banner of Haarika & Hassine Creations.
