'Kanguva' Box Office Collection Day 3: Period-Action Drama ‘Kanguva’, produced by Studio Green and directed by Siva, has seen a little increase in revenues on its third day of release in India. The film has reportedly earned a total of Rs 42.75 crore nett in India, surpassing the 40 crore milestone. The film's receipts, however, fall short of expectations, given its high budget and extensive promotion.
Sacnilk, a trade website, reports that the film's receipts on Saturday were Rs 9.50 crore, slightly higher from Rs 9.25 crore on Friday. The first day of the movie was a smashing success, earning Rs 24 crore.
Even if Kanguva's Sunday earnings are projected to surpass Rs 50 crore, the film's dismal performance in subsequent days' single-day revenues raises doubts about its theatrical survival. All things considered, the film's Saturday occupancy rate in Tamil was 21.62%.
‘Kanguva’ Worldwide Collection
‘Kanguva’ continues to make a powerful impression at the worldwide box office, despite being met with mixed reviews and heavy criticism. In the first two days, the film grossed over Rs 89.32 crore, with over Rs 31 crore coming in on the second day. The Sunday noon shows are set to end with it surpassing the Rs 100 crore milestone worldwide. Nevertheless, given the high expectations and stakes, ‘Kanguva’ must keep its momentum and be resilient during the next week to guarantee its ongoing success.
