New Delhi: Renowned Malayalam actor Kailas Nath passed away on Thursday. The actor died in a Kochi private hospital. According to reports, he was receiving treatment for non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis, a disorder that affects the liver and is brought on by an accumulation of fat. Over the previous few years, the actor underwent rigorous treatment as he fought the illness. 


Actor Seema G. Nair posted the tragic news of his passing on social media. She shared a picture of Kailas Nath and wrote in Malayalam, “Adieu Kailasetta, Popular actor Kailas Nath passed away. Condolences." Fans and colleagues of his are in shock and mourning over the news of his passing.



In the year 2021, Kailas Nath had a small heart attack while filming the hit show 'Santhwanam'. He was given a suggestion to undergo a liver transplant after being later diagnosed with non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis. As word of Kailas Nath's passing spread, heartfelt condolences came from members of the entertainment industry, as well as from fans and colleagues. 


Kailas Nath was born in Kerala's Munnar. The actor started performing on stage and mimicking from the time he was in school. He studied at the Film Institute with well-known figures like Chiranjeevi and Nassar during his schooling there. Kailas Nath's career in the film industry began as an assistant in 'Sreekumaran Thambi'. He played many diverse role throughout his career. 


Over the course of his decades-long acting career, he featured in several films and television shows. In 1999, he made his acting debut in the movie 'Sangamam'. But it was with the film 'Oru Thalai Ragam' that he rose to fame. In addition to 'Thamasoma Jyothirgamaya', 'Yugapurushan', and 'Etho Oru Swapnam', Nath appeared in many other films throughout his career.
