Indian 2 trailer: Kamal Haasan is back with the second installment of ‘Indian’. The trailer for ‘Indian 2’, directed by S Shankar, dropped on Tuesday. The filmmaker reunited with Kamal Haasan for the sequel of their 1996 hit film. The Tamil superstar reprised his role as a freedom fighter turned vigilante. The trailer is high on action and seems promising.

Kamal Haasan returns as Senapathy in Indian 2

The trailer begins with a voiceover that highlights the issues Indians are facing such as unemployment, high taxes and inadequate services. The clip shows many crimes and scams unfolding. After a while, Siddharth’s character is introduced, who questions people about what they are doing to resolve their problems. Then he remembers Senapathy (Kamal Haasan), a powerful vigilante who appears to have retreated to the mountains.

In the trailer, Kamal Hassan fights the villains and outwits them by putting on disguises. To save the nation, Senapathy follows in the violent footsteps of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

About Indian 2

The film is titled 'Bharateeyudu 2' in Telugu. Produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, the movie also stars Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, S. J. Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, Zakir Hussain, Piyush Mishra, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Manobala, and Ashwini Thangaraj.

The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, editing by Sreekar Prasad and cinematography by Ravi Varman. ‘Indian 2’ will be released on July 12 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. 

Prior to ‘Indian 2’, Kamal Haasan will be seen in Nag Ashwin's dystopian sci-fi fantasy film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. It is all set to be released on June 27.
