Famil Star Box Office: Day 2

The website reports that the movie earned ₹5.75 crore on its first day of release and is expected to make ₹3.2 crore on Saturday, for a total projected revenue of ₹8.95 crore.

On Saturday, Karimnagar saw the largest occupancy rate for the movie at 57.5 percent, while Warangal saw the lowest at 43.5 percent.

An Indian Express report claims that ‘Family Star’ is Vijay's lowest opening in recent years.

According to the site, the opening weekend of all three of his recent films was in the double digits: Kushi opened at ₹15.25 crore, Liger opened at ₹15.95 crore, and Dear Comrade opened at ₹11.90 crore. Even World Famous Lover, which reportedly generated ₹7 crore, was met with criticism even before its premiere. Family Star's release was delayed because of a manufacturing hold-up, which was scheduled for Sankranthi.

Producer Dil Raju takes matters into own hands

It appears that producer Dil Raju has taken matters into his own hands in an effort to advance Family Star. Videos showing the producer/filmmaker, equipped with a microphone, visiting individual screens and soliciting audience comments are circulating on X. He is shown in the films approaching the crowd and requesting an unbiased assessment of the movie, just like reporters would on the day of the movie's premiere.
