New Delhi: After a successful run in Bollywood with Jr. NTR's ‘Devara’, her debut Telugu film, things are only getting better for Jahnvi Kapoor. Janhvi Kapoor has agreed to work on Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Hindi film co-starring Tamil film industry actor Suriya. Her father Boney Kapoor also affirmed this in a conversation with the YouTube channel iDream Media.
Boney Kapoor confirms Janhvi Kapoor film with Suriya
“My daughter has already shot for a film with Jr NTR. She’s loving every bit of the day she spends on sets here. Soon, she will start a film with Ram Charan too. These two boys are doing very well. She has been watching a lot of Telugu films, and she feels blessed to work with them. Hopefully, the films will work, and she will get more work. She will also act with Suriya soon. My wife (Sridevi) acted in multiple languages, I hope my daughter does the same.” Boney Kapoor said.
A few years ago, Suriya moved to Mumbai, where his spouse, performer Jyotika, began her second innings in Hindi films.
He was in negotiations with filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for the Mahabharata-based film ‘Karna’, and it was agreed late in the previous year that he would be the protagonist.
It appears that Jahnvi has now committed to playing the lead role as well. There are rumours that this lavishly produced film will be released in two parts.
Suriya is presently occupied with his next project with Sudha Kongara and his magnum opus ‘Kanguva’.
It is anticipated that ‘Karna’ will go on floors by the end of 2024.
Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor will be seen with Jr NTR in ‘Devara’. In the film, Saif Ali Khan portrays the adversary.
After an eight-month delay, it will be released in October of this year.
Earlier, in an interaction with Film Companion, Janhvi Kapoor has spoken about how excited she has been working on ‘Devara’ and how everything she has done so far seemed to be training for the Jr. NTR film.
