New Delhi: The highly anticipated film starring Suriya, tentatively named ‘Suriya 45’, has an unexpected change in the musical arena as famous composer AR Rahman has been replaced. Sai Abhyankkar will be composing the score for the film, replacing AR Rahman, who was previously named as the film's music director. This change was made public in a recent social media post by the makers.
On December 9, the production team of ‘Suriya 45’ officially introduced Sai Abhyankkar as the film's new music director in a newly released poster.
Filmmaker RJ Balaji Welcomes Sai Abhyankkar
In addition to the poster, the film's director and co-star RJ Balaji welcomed the young composer on his X (formerly Twitter) account. A message from Balaji stated, "Happy and excited to welcome the young sensation @SaiAbhyankkar onboard for #Suriya45."
The poster also reveals that the film's cinematographer would be GK Vishnu, who has worked with director Atlee before, raising even higher anticipation for the film.
Speculation Surrounds AR Rahman’s Exit
Speculation has swirled that the music icon AR Rahman may take a hiatus from career. AR Rahman's private life has been in the news lately due to his announcement of a separation from his wife Saira Banu, after 29 years of marriage. After Rahman's marriage ended, rumours circulated that he could step away from music creation. However, his daughter Khatija Rahman quickly put an end to the rumours.
Many are still wondering whether his departure is due to artistic issues with the production team or personal reasons. Meanwhile, no formal statement has been released to clarify Rahman's exit from ‘Suriya 45’.
