There have been rumors this year about a possible feud between megastar Chiranjeevi and Telugu superstar Allu Arjun. Earlier this year, it was speculated that Chiranjeevi and his family were upset with Allu Arjun after he supported a YSRCP candidate in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections. However, neither Chiranjeevi nor Allu Arjun has addressed these claims. Amidst this, an old photo of the two stars has been circulating online.
On Monday, a photo went viral showing Chiranjeevi feeding Allu Arjun a piece of laddoo, with the two superstars exchanging sweets in celebration of Pushpa 2's success. The film, which released last Thursday, has turned into a blockbuster. It turns out the photo was taken last year when Allu Arjun was named Best Actor by the National Awards committee.
Chiranjeevi and Allu Arjun's feud
During the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections, Allu Arjun publicly supported a YSRCP candidate, despite his family ties to Pawan Kalyan, who was also contesting. For context, Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan and Allu Arjun are cousins.
Pawan Kalyan won the election and became the Deputy CM of the state. Although Allu Arjun congratulated him, he has not commented on the rumours about his alleged fallout with Chiranjeevi. Meanwhile, Niharika Konidela, a member of the family, addressed the speculation in August.
In an interview, she said, “I don’t know the reason behind whatever my father posted. But, they have their own reasons to whatever [they want]. It doesn’t mean we can comment on it because they did something. We didn’t actually talk too much about it. We didn’t speak about it at home because everyone has their own reasons. Politically, religiously, spiritually, everyone has a choice to do what they want."
Niharika added, “For me, it’s always family first, and I can only speak for myself."
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is currently relishing the success of Pushpa 2.
