New Delhi: 'Aavesham' seems to be doing great numbers at the box office. Fahadh Faasil's action film has collected Rs. 6.65 cr in its first two days. The film has taken the lead at the box office over another Malayalyam film 'Varshangalkku Shesham', which collected Rs. 5.55 cr in the same period.

As per trade analysis site, 'Aavesham' collected Rs. 3 cr net on the second day of release. 'Aavesham' had an overall Malayalam occupancy on its opening day of 54.95%.
As per several reports, extra special shows on the weekend have been added.
Despite not releasing in big multiplex chains like PVR and INOX, both 'Aavesham' and 'Varshangalkku Shesham', both continue to do well in smaller theatre chains.
About Aavesham
'Aavesham' revolves around the story of three migrant Malayali college students in Bengaluru who try to protest their juniors from ragging. However, their plans don't work and they get kidnapped by their seniors. Fahadh Faasil is seen in the lead as Ranga, who becomes involved in the student's struggle.
'Aavesham' has been directed by Jithu Madhavan.The film is receiving great response from the audeince especially for Fahadh Faasil's performance.
About Varshangalkku Shesham
The film tells the story of two young men from Kerala who enter the film world of 1980s. The film has also been well-received by audiences and critics alike. As per trade analysis site Sacnilk, 'Varshangalkku Shesham' collected Rs. 2.50 cr on its second day. The movie's Malayalam occupancy was 53.83% on its opening day, with individual shows ranging from 40.47%, to 67.84% in the evening.
