Varshangalkku Shesham Twitter review: Multi-starrer Malayalam film 'Varshangalkku Shesham' was released on Thursday (April 11). The coming-of-age comedy-drama film is written and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan and stars Pranav Mohanlal, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Kalyani Priyadarshani, Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese among others. Netizens have majorly good things to say about the film particularly praising the film's second half and Sreenivasan's direction.

The film tells the story of two young men who travel to Madras in the 1970s to pursue their dreams of making it in the film industry. The film spans 50 years, chronicling the ups and downs of their friendship and careers.

The second half and Nivin Pauly's cameo shine
Numerous X users lauded the second half of 'Varshangalkku Shesham,' applauding its impact and praised Dhyan Sreenivasan, Pranav Mohanlal, and especially Nivin Pauly for his cameo.

A user wrote, “Go to watch #VarshangalkkuShesham for Nivin. He was in full form, years after!”

Another user tweeted, “#VarshangalkkuShesham What a fantastic cameo from @NivinOfficial who plays himself. He is in top form and amazing crowd response from audiences when talks about his flops, body shaming and nepotism.. in fact the entertainment quotient of the film is high after he comes on screen.”

One of the moviegoers praised the film but also called it very slow in parts.

“#VarshangalkkuShesham 3/5 A film about a writer and a musician from Kerala trying their luck in cinema in the then Madras during the 70’s. Their struggle, friendship and success has a lot of nostalgia.. But on the downside it is very slow in parts. @impranavlal reminds you so much of his dad in many scenes and mannerisms. #DhyanSreenivasan has done a good job. But the scene stealer is @NivinOfficial who plays himself”

Another user called the film a blockbuster. “#VarshangalkkuShesham HEART WARMING Emotional 1st Half followed By Ultimate 2nd Half.. Most of Cinema ppls Connect well Emotionally.. Vineeth strikes again BLOCKBUSTER CINEMA Don't miss feel good Movie Lovers Now Playing Malayalam with Subs in Cinemas near you,” the tweet read.

Netizens call the film's first half average
However, not all reviews were entirely positive, as one user expressed a mixed opinion, acknowledging the average first half but praising the film's strong latter part.

“That Basil Joseph running commentary scene 4m d film got real coz I didn't dig d 1st half but film got so good later when it becomes abt friendship, movie makin n reaches crazy levels of meta. Boy screamed my lungs out 4 dat Nivin Pauly scene, he's back #VarshangalkkuShesham,” wrote another user.

“Felt #VarshangalkkuShesham, an emotional drama film, falls short with no emotional connection with the lead characters. Nivin's portion somehow provides some entertainment. Pranav is struggling as ever. Saw a good Dhyan Sreenivasan after years,” wrote another user.

“#VarshangalkkuShesham - felt as a decent one, not upto the mark of vineeth's previous one's. dhyan was so good, most of the times pranav is like meh, and literally nivin saved the movie.!!,” another tweet read.
