Sonu Nigam Tests Positive For COVID-19, Singer Isolates Himself In Dubai

Sonu Nigam further revealed in his video that he has tested COVID-19 positive along with his wife, son and sister-in-law. Read on to know full details.

New Delhi: In this ongoing third wave of COVID-19, popular singer Sonu Nigam has tested positive for the virus. The ‘Suraj Hua Maddham’ singer shared the news on his social media with his fans in a video and revealed that he has currently isolated himself in Dubai. The singer further disclosed in his video that he has tested COVID-19 positive along with his wife, son and sister-in-law.

Sharing the video on his Instagram, Sonu Nigam wrote, “I tested Covid +. Happy New Year 2022 to the extended family!”

Sonu Nigam can be seen saying in the video that he is not feeling COVID-19 positive but as he was supposed to return to India to perform in Bhubaneshwar for a show, he got himself tested and turned out positive. He also revealed that just to be double sure, he retested himself and again turned out positive. Sonu further said that his symptoms are mild and he doesn’t feel ill.

Sonu Nigam can be witnessed saying in the video, “We have to be careful, not scared as this time it's spreading a bit faster. I feel bad for theatre people, I feel bad for movie makers as all ours works have been affected in the past 2 years”.

Meanwhile, other than Sonu Nigam, many other celebrities including Ekta Kapoor, John Abraham and his wife Priya, Prem Chopra and his wife, Nakuul Mehta, his wife Jankee Parekh and son Sufi, Arjun Bijlani, his mother, Nora Fatehi, Mrunal Thakur, Delnaaz Irani, Drashti Dhami, Sumona Chakravarti and others have also tested positive for COVID-19.
