Amidst Nepotism Debate Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt Disable Instagram Comments Section

Sonam Kapoor & Alia Bhatt were forced to disable the comments section on her Instagram posts to avoid the barrage of hate.

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death by suicide has led to a nationwide debate on mental health, nepotism and treatment towards outsiders in Bollywood. And the ones facing the maximum wrath for it are Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor, who have lost Instagram followers rapidly since the demise of Rajput. From Salman Khan to Karan Johar, the celebs are on late actor's fans radar who are of the belief that Sushant committed suicide as he did not get his due recognition and space in the industry due to 'nepotism'. Amid the aggressive rage against star kids, several celebs such as Sonakshi Sinha, Shashank Khaitan and Aayush Sharma have quite social media claiming the platform had become too negative for them. And now, Sonam Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have disabled the comments section on their Instagram posts to avoid the barrage of hate. Both Sonam & Alia have been receiving a lot of hate comments on social media by netizens which has led them to make changes on their Instagram settings. “Yes I’ve switched off my comment section and my parents comment section because I don’t want my 64 year old parents to go through this. They did nothing to deserve this. And I’m not doing it out of fear you morons I’m doing it out of common sense to preserve my mental health and my parents,” she wrote in a post. Sonam said the remarks she made public aren't even the "worst of it". The actor and her team are reporting these comments to the authorities, she added. The 34-year-old Sushant Singh Rajput actor was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his Bandra residence on June 14. The actor was reportedly suffering from depression and police found some anti-depressants pill in his room.
