Sharman Joshi’s Father And Actor Arvind Joshi Passes Away

Arvind Joshi was a very popular name in the Gujarati theatre. He has also worked in many Hindi and Gujarati films. Read on to know full details.

Mumbai: Arvind Joshi, who is the father of Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi passed away at Nanavati Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai at around 3.00 am today. He was 84 years old and was struggling with age-related complications. Prem Chopra, the nephew actor Arvind Joshi, confirmed his death to ABP News. Arvind Joshi was a known actor and director in the Gujarati theatre.

Arvind Joshi acted in several hit Gujarati films, but he was recognized for his contribution in the field of Gujarati theatre for his acting and direction. If you talk about Hindi films, Arvind Joshi also played small roles as a supporting artist in all films like 'Ittefaq', 'Sholay', ‘Apmaan Ki Aag’, 'Kharidar', 'Thikana', 'Naam' and others. He has also worked in many Hindi serials.

Speaking to ABP News, Prem Chopra, a close aide actor Arvind Joshi said, “Arvind was a very good-natured person. He was admitted to Nanavati Hospital for the last 2 weeks as his health condition worsened due to the age-related complications. His contribution to Gujarati theatre will always be remembered.”

The last rites of Sharman Joshi’s father Arvind Joshi will be performed today between 11.00 am and 12.00 am in the cremation ground at Vile Parle, Mumbai according to Hindu customs.

Arvind Joshi is survived by his wife, son Sharman Joshi and daughter Mansi Joshi Roy. Mansi is also a well-known name in the world of the television industry. She is also the wife of actor Rohit Roy.
