New Delhi: The upcoming film 'Selfiee,’ which stars Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Diana Penty, now has a release date. Filmmaker Raj Mehta is going to helm this endeavour as its director. Recently, the release date of the drama-comedy was announced by the makers.

In an official statement, the makers stated: “Dharma Productions, Prithviraj Productions, Magic Frames, and Cape of Good Films’ previously announced 'Selfiee', starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi along with Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha will now release on February 24, 2023.”

This news was also verified by film critic, Taran Adarsh on Twitter. He tweeted, “AKSHAY KUMAR - EMRAAN HASHMI: 'SELFIEE' ON 24 FEB 2023... #Selfiee - the official remake of #Malayalam film #DrivingLicence, starring #AkshayKumar and #EmraanHashmi - to release in *cinemas* on 24 Feb 2023... Costars #NushrrattBharuccha and #DianaPenty.”

‘Selfiee’ is a remake of the Malayalam film ‘Driving License’, which starred Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles. Selfiee will be released in Hindi. Akshay and Emraan are returning to reprise their roles in the next film adaptation.

In the meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in ‘Raksha Bandhan’, directed by Aanand L. Rai and stars Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role. The movie is scheduled to release on the 11th of August, 2022. On the other hand, Emraan will be starring with Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan in the upcoming film Tiger 3. The film directed by Maneesh Sharma will be released in theaters around the time of Eid in 2023.
