Lately, pictures of celebrities holidaying in the Maldives have been doing rounds on social media. ‘Scam 1992’ actor Nikhil Dwivedi slammed Bollywood celebrities for travelling amid the surging cases of COVID-19.

The ‘Shor In The City’ actor took to his Twitter and took a dig at Bollywood celebrities for appearing to be ‘unempathetic’ during the time of the pandemic. He further called him ‘just plain stupid’. Nikhil Dwivedi’s tweet read, “Absolutely. Then we r surprised at the suddenness of the backlash the movie industry receives for unrelated reasons. We r so self-absorbed &so oblivious to what's around us tht we appear unempathatic. Let me also assure it's not like they r heartless, none are.. just plain stupid”
Nikhil started his acting career with the 2008 movie ‘My Name is Anthony Gonsalves’. He then went on to star in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. ‘Shor In The City’, ‘Hate Story’ and ‘Tamanchey’. Dwivedi turned into a producer with ‘Veere Di Wedding’ starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor and others. He then went on to co-produce the superhit Salman Khan’s franchise film ‘Dabbang 3’.
Nikhil starred in the superhit and one of the most loved web series ‘Scam 1992’ where he portrayed the role of Mr. Tyagi. He received praises for his role in the critically acclaimed Hansal Mehta web series.
The ‘Raavan’ actor was working with a bank before venturing into the world of movies and follow his passion for acting. He married model and actress Gauri Pandit in a small ceremony in the year 2011.
Nikhil has recently announced a three-film franchise based on 'Naagin'. The upcoming fantasy drama flick will star Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role. The 'Stree' actress will be seen playing the role of a shape-shifting snake in the film.
