New Delhi: Bollywood actor and filmmaker Nikhil Dwivedi has tested positive for Coronavirus. The 'Veere Di Wedding' producer, while talking to an entertainment portal, confirmed that he has been diagnosed with the virus. Dwivedi, who was asymptomatic, underwent a COVID-19 test as a precautionary measure. The results of his test came out as positive.

"Yes, I have tested positive for Coronavirus," Nikhil Dwivedi told ETimes. The actor's wife has tested negative for the virus and is doing. The filmmaker is observing quarantine after testing positive.

On the professional front, Nikhil Dwivedi was recently seen in Hansal Mehta's 'Scam 1992'. He received praises for his performance as Tyagi in the crime drama  based on 1992 Indian stock market scam. The critically acclaimed web series is available for streaming on SonyLIV.

Nikhil has announced a three-film franchise based on 'Naagin'. The upcoming fantasy drama flick will star Shraddha Kapoor in lead role. The 'Stree' actress will be seen playing the role of a shape-shifting snake in the film. Dwivedi made his acting debut with 'My Name is Anthony Gonsalves'. He has produced hit films like 'Veere Di Wedding' and 'Dabangg 3'.

Several Bollywood celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora had tested positive for COVID-19. They have successfully recovered from the virus. Salman Khan's personal driver and two other staff members have also reportedly contracted Coronavirus.
