New Delhi: 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is one of the longest-running TV shows that is highly popular among audiences of all age ranges. Its characters have become a home name in every household that watches the show in India. In a recent development around the show, actor Sailesh Lodha aka Taarak is reported to have stopped shooting for the show.

Does that mean that the show will come to an end? No announcements yet. But a source close to TOI revealed that Sailesh has no plans of returning to the show. He even stopped shooting for it a month ago. "He is not very happy with his contract and he feels that his dates are not properly used in the show. One of the other reasons behind taking this decision is with 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', the talented actor is not able to explore other opportunities due to the exclusivity factor. He has turned down multiple offers in recent times and now he doesn't want to waste other opportunities that keep coming his way. The production house is trying its best to convince Sailesh to stay back but looks like the seasoned actor and well-known poet has already made up his mind." TOI reported

'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' has also seen other cast members like Disha Vakani,Gurucharan Singh and Neha Mehta exit the show.

Sailesh Lodha has been a part of Taarak Mehta since the beginning and audiences/ fans love him in the titular role. His exit will deeply mark a change in the show, that is certain.

According to the same TOI report, Raj Andkat was also said to be in talks of quitting the show, but he stayed back after the Production house managed to convince him.

'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' streams on Sony SAB.
