Saif Ali Khan To Be Discharged From Hospital Today, Was Stabbed Six Times By Intruder

The actor underwent surgery after being stabbed six times allegedly by an intruder inside his house in the early hours of January 16.

Saif Ali Khan Attack: Actor Saif Ali Khan will be discharged from Lilavati Hospital around 2 pm on Tuesday. The actor underwent a five-hour surgery after being stabbed six times allegedly by an intruder inside his house in the early hours of January 16. The 54-year-old actor sustained severe injuries to his back and neck in the attack.

After being discharged, Saif Ali Khan may go to Fortune Heights instead of going to his home at 'Satguru Sharan' building, where he was attacked.

The accused has been identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi man, who has been arrested and sent to police custody for five days.

Police will likely take Shehzad to Khan's home in these five days to recreate the crime scene as part of their investigation. Police had said that Shehzad sneaked into Khan's apartment in the early hours of January 16 with the intention of theft.

Saif Ali Khan's Attacker Entered His House Via Bathroom

Preliminary investigation suggests that he climbed the stairs to the seventh-eighth floor of the building where Khan and Kareena Kapoor live with their children and domestic staff.

"He entered the duct area, climbed to the 12th floor using a pipe and entered the actor's flat through a bathroom window. He then came out from the bathroom, where the actor's staff spotted him, leading to the chain of events that culminated into the knife attack," an official had said earlier.
