Mumbai: While India is fighting the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, many celebrities have been extending their helping hands to the people in need. As medical resources are falling short due to the increasing number of positive cases, people are donating for COVID relief funds so that it can reach the patients affected by the virus.


Sara Ali Khan recently made a donation towards the Sonu Sood charity foundation to help the people in need. Other celebrities including Anushka Sharma, Raveena Tandon and others are also coming forward for helping people in every way possible.

It is now filmmaker Rohit Shetty who has extended his helping hands to Delhi. The National Capital is one of the cities with the highest number of positive COVID cases. In such a situation, people are dying due to the lack of oxygen cylinders, medicines and others. The ‘Sooryavanshi’ director donated a significant amount to COVID Care Facility in Delhi.


Politician Manjinder Singh Sirsa took to his official Facebook page and shared a note for the director. He wrote, “He might be a Khatron ka Khiladi on screen; but behind the scene he is a sensitive and compassionate person who cares for humanity. Thanking Rohit Shetty for donating a Significant amount to our COVID Care Facility. We are grateful for your massive support. May this service come back as multiple BLESSINGS in your life Rohit Ji”.



Meanwhile, on the work front, Rohit will be next seen hosting the reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 11’. He is also the director of upcoming movies ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Cirkus’.
