New Delhi: The year 2020 has been traumatic for Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty as she was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in relation to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The Bombay High Court granted bail to the ‘Jalebi’ actress on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh in October. After getting bail, Rhea made her first public appearance with brother Showik Chakraborty where the brother-sister duo was spotted house-hunting in the city.

Well, now, after the traumatic year Rhea Chakraborty finally seems to get back to her normal life. She has started meeting friends from the industry with the onset of the new year 2021. Recently, ‘Roadies’ fame Rajiv Lakshman shared a lovely picture with the ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ actress as they happily posed for the camera. While sharing, he wrote, “My Girl.” He also turned off the comment section in his post with Rhea Chakraborty.

However, hours after posting the picture with the actress, Rajiv deleted the post and shared in a separate post that Rhea is a 'dear old friend' and that he is 'happy to meet her again'. The post read, "I seem to have created unnecessary trouble with my irresponsible choice fo words on a post. Rhea is a dear old friend, and I'm happy to meet her again, & I wish her well."

Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court has reserved its order on the application filed by SSR’s sisters, seeking to squash the FIR filed against them by Rhea Chakraborty. In the FIR, the ‘Chehre’ actress accused Sushant’s sister and a doctor for prescribing medicine to him without consultation. Rhea alleged that the ‘Raabta’ actor died within five days after obtaining the prescription. She further said that sisters and the doctor made a 'fabricated prescription' for anti-depressants for the actor.

A report in ANI reads, “#SushantSinghRajput death case: Bombay High Court reserve the order on an application filed by his sisters seeking quashing of FIR filed by Rhea Chakraborty, alleging their involvement in his death. Court also asked all the parties to file their written submissions within a week.”

On the professional front, Rhea will be next seen in 'Chehre'. Rumi Jaffrey, who has directed the film, said in an interview that the actress will return to work in early 2021.
