Bollywood heart-throb Ranbir Kapoor was seen yesterday leaving a studio along with his entourage in a fully bearded and rugged look. The fans were beaming with joy to spot him. In a sea of well-wishers and a particularly enthusiastic fan following, Ranbir seemed very civil until an unfortunate incident occurred that took everyone by surprise.

When a fan walked up to him asking for a selfie, Ranbir obliged as he always does. But as the fan tried to click a selfie, and wasn’t able to because of some technical issues on his phone, Ranbir suddenly lost his cool. The fan was really looking forward to their picture together but his phone seemed to malfunction - after which things got out of hand. Ranbir kept his calm for a few seconds and then proceeded to grab the phone from the fan’s hand. He then chucked the fan’s phone behind him, shocking everyone. 

The incident is creating quite some buzz because we have always seen RK play the boy next door role and he is usually the guy who makes your miserable day better with his jokes and wit. His portrayal of happy-go-lucky characters on screen has bedazzled the audience for over a decade and a half. It was unsettling for the paparazzi to catch him in a vulnerable moment like this. You don’t expect this Ranbir, the same man who for years has been known to go the extra mile for his fans!

Some even say that Ranbir’s real-life persona has had an impact on his reel life too. With movies like Barfi, Wake up Sid, Yeh Jawaani hai Dewaani and even Brahmāstra - all taking a piece of Ranbir’s real-life charm to make his on-screen character more loveable! His movies have not just been a mere escape in our lives but they gave us the joy of ending our day on a feel-good note. This incident, however, is leaving a bitter aftertaste.

Social media is quickly picking up this story and the virality of it all is leaving the fans anxious. While we have seen B-town celebs get into verbal spats with the paparazzi before, this was just a little too much to digest. Hopefully, an explanation on his part absolves him of any bad reputation and allows the fans to get to the core of this mishap and quickly put this fiasco behind them. We are also waiting to hear from the fan who got his phone and dreams of a selfie with his childhood hero snapped. Hopefully, this story has a sweet ending and we can get past this.
