Ram Setu Teaser Out: Akshay Kumar's Action-Drama To Release On 25th October

During the Diwali weekend of 2022, on October 25th, 'Ram Setu' will be released in theatres.

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar is back with yet another movie and this time around the actor will be taking part in an exciting journey. Akshay’s forthcoming movie ‘Ram Setu’ is an action-drama which will hit theatres this Diwali. Akshay recently shared the first glimpse of his look on a brand-new poster. On the poster, Akshay can be seen giving an intense gaze while sporting a salt-and-pepper beard and moustache. 

On Monday, the makers of ‘Ram Setu’ released the official trailer of the movie. Announcing the release date, Akshay Kumar wrote, “राम सेतु की पहली झलक…just for you. Made this with a lot of love, hope you like it. बताना ज़रूर #RamSetu. October 25th. Only in Theatres worldwide.”

The teaser doesn't reveal much about the film's narrative. The Ram Sethu is a group of limestone shoals that run from the southeast coast of Tamil Nadu to the northwest coast of Sri Lanka.

Akshay Kumar is playing the lead role in ‘Ram Setu’ as an archaeologist who has been tasked with discovering the reality of the bridge. According to the Ramayana, the Vanara army led by the god Rama built the bridge Ram Setu between the seventh and third centuries in order to cross over to Lanka and rescue Rama's wife Sita from the hands of the monarch of Lanka, Ravana. 

Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha also play supporting roles. 

‘Ram Setu’ is directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Aruna Bhatia and Vikram Malhotra under their respective home companies Cape of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment.

During the Diwali weekend of 2022, on October 25th, 'Ram Setu' will be released in theatres. The action flick will have its first online debut on Amazon Prime Video shortly after its release on the big screen.
