Rajinikanth Health Update: Thalaiva Advised Complete Rest, Being Monitored Closely; Visitors Not Allowed

New Delhi: Superstar Rajinikanth was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad due to severe fluctuations in his blood pressure level yesterday (December 25). The hospital issued a medical bulletin to give an update about Rajinikanth's health. The doctors have given medications to the 'Kabali' star to control his blood pressure. The statement further revealed that though his blood pressure is still on the higher side, it is under better control than yesterday. The ‘Thalaiva’ will be kept under close monitoring and have been advised complete rest by the medical team. Even no visitors are allowed to meet Rajinikanth. The statement read, “Mr. Rajnikanth who was admitted in the hospital yesterday b progressing well. He has had an uneventful night and his blood pressure is still on the higher side although under better control than yesterday. His investigations have not revealed anything alarming so far. He is scheduled for a further set of investigations today, reports of which will be available by the evening. His blood pressure medications are being titrated carefully and he will continue to be under close monitoring. He has been advised complete rest in view of his labile blood pressure and visitors are not being allowed to meet him. Based on his investigations and control of blood pressure, a decision on his discharge will be taken by the evening. Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad.” Rajnikanth was shooting with Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh 'Annaatthe' before the implementation of the nationwide lockdown. However, the filming of the movie began again from December 14, 2020. After a few days of shooting, the filming of the Rajinikanth starrer movie had to stop again as four of the movie’s crew members tested positive for COVID-19.
