Bombay High Court Dismisses Businessman Raj Kundra And Ryan Thorpe's Applications
Reportedly, the Bombay High Court has dismissed Raj Kundra’s application. The court has challenged the magistrate court’s remand order seeking the businessman’s immediate release.
Mumbai: Businessman Raj Kundra was arrested last month for his alleged role in a pornography case. The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police arrested Shilpa Shetty’s husband after a long interrogation on July 19, 2021.
Now, according to the latest update, the Bombay High Court has dismissed Raj Kundra’s application. The court has challenged the magistrate court’s remand order seeking the businessman’s immediate release.
A report in ANI read, “Pornography case | Bombay High Court dismisses businessman and actor Shilpa Shetty's Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe's applications challenging magistrate court's remand order and seeking immediate release.”
Meanwhile, actress and model Sherlyn Chopra also recorded her statement with the Mumbai Crime Branch in connection with a case linked with the production and circulation of pornographic content on mobile applications. According to a report of PTI, the police recorded Sherlyn Chopra's statement after questioning her for over eight hours on Friday.
On a related note, the Mumbai sessions court will reportedly deliver the verdict on ‘Gandi Baat’ actress Gehana Vasisth’s bail application today. She was arrested earlier this year for the alleged production and circulation of pornographic content.
According to a report of ANI, “Pornography case | Mumbai sessions court to deliver verdict on actor Gehana Vasisth's bail application case tomorrow. A case was lodged against 3 producers of businessman Raj Kundra's company, where Vasisth was also named among accused.”
Meanwhile, the Crime Branch also quizzed Shilpa Shetty as part of their probe in the alleged pornography case for 5 hours reportedly.
