Priyanka Chopra Shares First Look From 'The Matrix Resurrections', Fans Question About Missing Surname

The actress who earlier used to write her name as Priyanka Chopra Jonas has renamed it to just Priyanka.

New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra revealed her look in the much anticipated movie 'The Matrix Resurrections' on Instagram, by sharing the first poster featuring her character in the film. 'The Matrix Resurrections' is the fourth installment in the Keanu Reeves starrer series. 

Sharing the poster, the 'Dostana' actress wrote,"And she's here. Re-enter The Matrix. 12.22.21"

The 'Quantico' actor's comments section got flooded soon after she shared the poster. Popular celebrities like Gauahar Khan, Huma Qureshi, Tarun Mansukhani commented, applauding Priyanka's look. Zoya Akhtar wrote,"Boom." Actress Jessica Henwick, who is also Priyanka's co-star in the film, wrote,"Love!"

While most people commented about her look, some even asked questions and showed concern for the actor after listening to rumours regarding her seperation with husband Nick Jonas. Rumours of the 'Jee Le Zara' actor's seperation became rife after she changed her Instagram bio to just her first name Priyanka, dropping off the rest of it including Chopra and Jonas. Priyanka had added her husband's surname Jonas right after her marriage to Nick Jonas in the year 2018.

The actor who is very active on social media and keeps sharing pictures with Nick quite often, aroused concern among her fans after she changed her bio. Meanwhile, Priyanka's mother, Madhu Chopra has quashed all rumours and said that there is no disparity between Priyanka and Nick and even asked people to stop spreading such rumours.

Priyanka recently shared a hoard of pictures with her husband, performing Lakshmi Puja and revelling in all the fun and frolic on the occassion of Diwali, this year.

The actress is all set for wooing the audience with her performance in the upcoming movie. 'The Matrix Resurrections' stars Keanu Reeves, Jada Pinkett Smith and Carrie-Ann Moss in their legendary roles. Laurence Fishburne's role as Morpheus has been taken over by Yahya Abdul Mateen-II. The film directed by Lana Wachowski, releases on December 22, this year.
