Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar's Unreleased Title Track From 'Barsaat' Finally Out
Priyanka Chopra and Akshay Kumar have featured in 'Andaaz', 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', 'Aitraaz', and 'Waqt'.
New Delhi: Remember the iconic title track from 'Barsaat', the film which was released in 2005 starring Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu and Bobby Deol? Well, for those unaware, 'Barsaat' was first supposed to feature Akshay Kumar. Allegedly, a song between Priyanka Chopra and Akshay was also shot for the film. The director of 'Barsaat' Suneel Darshan has now shared the title song of the film featuring Akshay and Priyanka.
Soon after the track was released, social media platforms, especially Twitter, were filled with memes about the chemistry of Akshay and Priyanka. Many compared it to the first night experience of married couples among other hilarious posts that are trending online.
Taking to his official Instagram handle, Darshan revealed that Akshay Kumar had to leave 'Barsaat' due to family issues and Bobby Deol stepped in to play his part. Had Akshay starred in 'Barsaat', it would have been Akshay and Priyanka's fifth film together in a span of mere two years.

Sharing a snip from the song alongside a post, Suneel Darshan captioned a post in third person: "Someday I'll edit the song I shot with Akshay & Priyanka in Barsaat and use it somewhere." Reminisces Film-Maker Suneel Darshan."
'Barsaat' was a romantic drama loosely based on the 2002 movie 'Sweet Home Alabama'. It was released on August 19, 2005 and was a failure at the box office. Although the film's music composed by Nadeem Shravan who were at the top of their game was well-received in all quarters.
Meanwhile, on the work front Priyanka Chopra will be seen in the Russo Brothers’ directorial ‘Citadel’ while Akshay Kumar was recently seen in ‘Cuttputlii’ on Disney+Hotstar alongside Rakul Preet Singh and Sargun Mehta.
Priyanka and Akshay also have a host of other projects in the pipeline.
