Prabhas Returns To Romantic Genre With 'Radhe Shyam', Breaks His Ultimate Action Hero Image

Actor Prabhas, who is one of the most sought after action heroes in India, is all set to break his image with the upcoming love saga 'Radhe Shyam'

Hyderabad: Prabhas is all set to break his ultimate action hero image with his next romantic drama Radhe Shyam. The Baahubali star has been picking up action movies for over a decade and he is making a comeback to the romantic genre with Radhe Shyam which is set to hit theatres on January 14, 2022, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Pongal.

According to the sources close to the film, this is an ultimate love drama shot in Italy, Georgia and India. The film has no high-octane action or chasing sequences except a minor portion of fight scenes in the climax.

Prabhas and Pooja Hedge are paring for the first time for the silver screen and the duo look epic together. All the glimpses and posters released so far just suggest that the narration of this film is based on the ultimate romance between the lead characters, played by Prabhas and Pooja Hegde.

So, fans, who have seen Prabhas in high voltage action movies, will see him in a Prince Charm avatar in Radhe Shyam. However, his action avatar will reappear in the action entertainers Salaar and periodic drama Adipurush which are set for the 2022 release.

On the other hand, as the Tollywood hunk returns to the romantic genre after a decade, here are some honourable mentions of leading ladies that audiences would love to see him with.

Deepika Padukone-Prabhas

Watching this pair on the silver screen would be no less than a treat for movie buffs. Filmmaker Ashwin Nag brings this most sought-after pair for his upcoming sci-fi flick 'K'.

Kriti-Prabhas

Kriti Sanon, who is basking success of her recently released Mimi, is roped in opposite Prabhas for young director Om Raut’s Mythological movie 'AdiPurush'. The Saaho actor plays the role of Lord Ram and Kriti will be seen playing Seeta in the film.
