PS 1 editor Sreekar Prasad claims the song was eliminated to shorten the running time of the film. However, the ‘Sol' music video has finally released.
New Delhi: When 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' came out, many people were dismayed to learn that the song ‘Sol’ had been omitted from the final edit. PS 1 editor Sreekar Prasad claims the song was eliminated to shorten the running time of the film. However, the ‘Sol music video has finally released.
Sung by Rakshita Suresh, who shot to popularity on Super Singer Junior to perform AR Rahman's composition, the song has received widespread acclaim. It's clear that Rahman's creative intellect has brought us into an awe-inspiring journey by composing the soundtrack for this massive undertaking.
This song takes place aboard the royal yacht when Vallavarayan Vandhiyathevan (played by Karthi) first meets Kundhavai (played by Trisha). Vaanathi (Sobhita Dhulipala), and a slew of other pals sing and dance about how much they like the princess's ideal suitor. Vaanathi, who is teasing and questioning Kundhavai (Trisha) about her love interest, sings this sparsely orchestrated song in the film.

About the movie Ponniyin Selvan-I:
Ponniyin Selvan-I, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 historical fiction book of the same name, tells the tale of the youth of Arulmozhivarman, a strong southern ruler who later rose to become Rajaraja Chola I, played by Jayam Ravi. In the second part, he is anticipated to have a larger role.
To bring a message from Crown Prince Aditha Karikalan, Vandiyathevan sets out to traverse the Chola territory. As vassals and minor chieftains conspire to assassinate the crown, Kundavai tries to bring about political harmony. A long-tailed comet enters the sky, heralding a period of unrest, and the nation is in turmoil.
