Pakistani Actress Ushna Shah Gets Trolled For Getting Married In 'Indian Style'

New Delhi: Pakistani Actress Ushna Shah recently got hitched to Golf Player Hamza Amin and the photos and videos of their dreamy wedding are doing the rounds on social media. The actress herself shared a couple of pictures and videos on her Instagram, where she can be seen in a gorgeous red lehenga, designed by Pakistani brand Warda Saleem, lovely jewellery, mehendi-clad hands and a matching red veil, while Hamza is dressed in an ivory sherwani with a safa.
She captioned the video saying, "Married to my nainonwala Maharaja. I love you, husband. So grateful to our friends and family for flying in from all over the world. My sister Maha, my cousins and my friends were my tribe in putting this together. Zoya, thank you for bringing my vision to life and getting everything done for me, including finding the best deals & putting up with my panic. Yawar bhai, thanks for accommodating me and my demands as much as you could. What a beautiful venue!"

However, unlike other celebrity weddings, this one was not well received by the netizens. They trolled the actor for having an 'Indian Style' wedding in Pakistan. Reacting to the video, one of them wrote, "3rd class copy of India…. Tum logo ka apna koi standard nhi h.", while another person said, "Unfollow you for having Indian rituals." A third one slammed her and said, "Congratulations....you copy so many Hindu wedding rituals and your lehenga as well is totally that of Hindu brides. After all, you guys were Hindus a few generations ago."
After the video, she also uploaded a chain of pictures of her lovely wedding.

Reacting to her photos, one of the users wrote, "Indian Dulhan bnna tha koi baat nhi ban jaati but lehnga ki choice kisne ki aapke designer ne to pehli fursat me nikal do ...Delhi me nai sarak pr aese lehnge 3,se 5 thousand range me mil jaate hain. Jisne bhi ye lehnga choose kiya usko 21toppo ki salami.", while another one said, "Indian dulhan banny ka itna shok tha shukr hai nikah ky bjay 7 phery b nahi ly liye"
Amid all this, a user stood for them and said, "I just can't understand why people are being so toxic here? Guys it's her wedding, a very special day of her life. How can you all curse her and call her beghairat just bcoz she is wearing a dress similar to an Indian attire... Who gave you all the rights of deciding what allah will do with her? It's the matter between Ushna Shah and her allah... You all are nobody to decide her punishment. Please have some standards. Don't harass her on her wedding day atleast. Allah is watching all of you, how you all are giving her baduas. And dear Ushna, you are looking absolutely beautiful. Have a happy married life. Love from India."
Reacting to the comments on her pictures and video, Ushna took to her Instagram stories and gave a befitting reply to her trollers. She said, "Mrs Amin to those who have a problem with my dress: you weren't invited, nor did you pay for my shade of red. My jewellery, my jora: purely Pakistani. My heart, however, half-Austrian (hinting at her husband). Allah humein khush rakhey aameen (May God keep us happy)."
She further wrote, "Beigaani shaadi mein jo inunived photographers ghuss gaye, unko salaam (my greetings to the uninvited photographers, who came for our wedding)."
On the work front, Ushna Shah has worked in several popular Pakistani shows such as 'Parizaad', 'Yeh Ishq Hai', 'Cheekh' and 'Aakhir Kab Tak'. She was also seen in the movie 'Habs' in 2022.
