New Delhi: ‘Salaar Part One - Ceasefire’, starring Prabhas, is about to make its debut on the OTT platform after a great run at the box office. Even though it was released opposite ‘Dunki’, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, the film managed to draw in audiences and became a massive financial success. After earning more than Rs 400 crore at the box office, the film is set to captivate an even wider audience via over-the-top (OTT) streaming.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, ‘Salaar’ finally gets an OTT release date. The film will be available on Netflix on January 20, after breaking records at the box office.

Announcing the OTT release date, the makers wrote, "Get ready for the action extravaganza #SalaarCeaseFire streaming on @netflix_in from Jan 20 in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam & Tamil."

The movie will be available in four different Indian languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, according to the streaming site. Curiously, the statement failed to include the Hindi version, leading many to wonder whether producers Hombale Films had already secured rights via another site. Despite the lack of official confirmation, reports indicate that you can anticipate the Hindi version's release in March of this year.

Hindi films are required to wait 90 days after theatrical release before they can be streamed, in contrast to South Indian films that may be accessed 30 days after they are released in theatres.

Apart from Prabhas, the film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapati Babu, Shruti Haasan, and others.

The sequel to the film is titled ‘Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam’. According to a recent interview, Prabhas has said that the plot has been finished and that there will be an announcement about the filming shortly.
