'OG' On OTT: Pawan Kalyan's Gangster Thriller To Stream On Netflix Post-Theatrical Release, Know The Record-Breaking Deal

New Delhi: Pawan Kalyan and Priyanka Mohan's highly awaited Telugu flick OG will premiere later this year. Ahead of its theatrical release, the OTT rights of the film have been acquired by Netflix, adding to the hype surrounding the movie. Netflix has promised to deliver the film in multiple languages. 

Some have called 'OG', the year's most anticipated gangster action thriller. The life of infamous mobster Ojas Gambheera (played by Pawan Kalyan) is the focus of this film, which dives deep into the Mumbai underworld. There has been a lot of anticipation for the film due to its thrilling plot and exciting action scenes.

Netflix Acquisition

Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for a record-breaking price, estimated between Rs 90-100 crores, as per. The film will be streaming in several languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. 'OG' is reportedly budgeted at an impressive 250 crores. With the recent deal secured by Netflix, the film has already recovered approx 40% of its budget. If these figures are true, it suggests that the film is set to generate substantial revenue through pre-release business, with significant earnings expected from its theatrical rights deals.

About ‘OG’

Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya, 'OG' features music by Thaman S and cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran. Originally slated for a theatrical release on September 27, 2024, the film's premiere has been delayed due to production setbacks. The new release date is still to be announced.

An ensemble cast including Priyanka Mohan, Emraan Hashmi, Sriya Reddy, Arjun Das, Shaan Kakkar, Harish Uthaman, and Abhimanyu Singh supports Pawan Kalyan in the main role.
