'One India One Cinema': Rana Daggubati Congratulates RRR Director On Rs 1,000-Cr Milestone
RRR crossed the Rs. 1000 crores mark on Sunday and besides recovering the cost of production also became a profitable piece of cinema.
As ‘RRR’ crossed the Rs. 1000 crore mark, Rana Daggubati took to his official social media account to congratulate the director SS Rajamouli on the feat. RRR became the second Indian film after ‘Baahubali 2’ to enter the coveted club. ‘Baahubali 2’ was also directed by Rajamouli.
Rana took to his Twitter handle to share the post, "ONE INDIA ONE CINEMA” was a wishful dream till one man came along and said this is what it looks like! Capitan you’ve done it again. @SSRajamouli and team #RRR. I salute you (sic)."
He also shared the official announcement poster of ‘RRR’ which was released to celebrate this massive feat alongside his tweet.
Earlier in the week, a grand success party was organized by the film's producer Jayantilal Gada to celebrate the film's performance at the box office. Besides the film's lead actors Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, Bollywood celebrities like Aamir Khan and Karan Johar were also present.
‘RRR’ is a period-action film that fictionalizes the lives of two freedom fighters, Komaram Bheem( Jr. NTR) and Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan).
It also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ray STevenson, Alison Doody, Olivia Morris, and Samuthirakani. Written by KV Vijayendra Prasad and bankrolled by DVV Entertainment on a budget of Rs. 550 crores, the film's release was delayed several times due to the pandemic.
‘RRR’ finally released on 25th March 2022 and smashed box office records everywhere. It crossed the Rs. 1000 crores mark on Sunday and besides recovering the cost of production also became a profitable piece of cinema.
