Nimrat Kaur described how some individuals believe they may can anything they want about another person's appearance or body type.
New Delhi: We've seen plenty of famous people go through dramatic weight loss and physical alteration in preparation for a film part. Nimrat Kaur, a Dasvi actor, has a similar tale to share.
Everyone has been taken aback by her dramatic change in physical appearance in her latest film. When it came to making the transition from Nimrat Kaur to "Bimla Devi”, Abhishek's on-screen wife, it wasn't easy.
She had shared her before-and-after images and spoke about the weight increase she had experienced on April 20. The post had been titled, “Weigh on it… Swipe left for my thousand words this picture won’t speak.”
Nimrat Kaur said in an interview with The Times of India that her post was a consequence of the hardships she had to overcome. The actress described how some individuals believe they may say anything they want about another person's appearance or body type.
Nimrat's furious response to the trolls was, "I am referring to people who were around me when I was gaining weight or had gained weight, not those who are hiding behind their gadgets. These are people whose minds have been conditioned in a manner that makes them feel that woh kisi ko bhi kuch bhi bol sakte hain whether it is on someone's body or looks or even food habits.”
She continued, “It is as if they have a right to everyone's personal space, and don't realise the sanctity of what is right and what is wrong. No basic courtesy. I had a problem with unsolicited comments. I felt so sad and sorry for people who are not born with unconventional height, looks, bodies, or skin colour. A lot of personal awareness is the need of the hour."
Nimrat Kaur was most recently seen in the film Dasvi, in which she co-starred with Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam.
