Mr Natwarlal Director Rakesh Kumar Passes Away At 81

Veteran screenwriter, producer, and director Rakesh Kumar passed away on November 10 in Mumbai.

New Delhi: Veteran screenwriter, producer, and director Rakesh Kumar passed away on November 10 in Mumbai. When he passed away, he was 81 years old. His films ‘Khoon Pasina’, ‘Do Aur Do Paanch’, ‘Mr. Natwarlal’, and ‘Yaarana’ are widely regarded as among his most significant works. In addition, Rakesh has also been featured in a few movies.

Amitabh Bachchan worked closely with the director on a handful of projects. At the box office, his films ‘Yaarana’, ‘Mr. Natwarlal’, ‘Khoon Pasina’, and ‘Do Aur Do Paanch’ were among the most successful.

Rakesh Kumar has been fighting cancer for a lengthy period of time. Thursday was the day when he tragically took his last breath. In an obituary notice that they sent to the media, members of Rakesh Kumar's family notified the reporters about a prayer meet that would be conducted in remembrance of the late director.

On Sunday, November 13th, there will be a prayer meet for the late Rakesh Kumar in the Andheri west neighbourhood of Mumbai. The family of the film director issued an obituary with the following phrase: “IN LOVING MEMORY OF RAKESH KUMAR, OCTOBER 18, 1941 - NOVEMBER 10, 2022 Please join us for a prayer meet On Sunday, November 13, At Banquet, The Celebration Sports Club, Garden No.5, Lokhandwala, Andheri (W). TIME: 4PM - 5PM With Gratitude, Usha Sharma & Lakshay Kumar, Neha & Karan Sharma.”

At the prayer gathering that will take place today, a number of well-known Bollywood actors are expected to be present.
