Zero Box Office Collection: Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma’s film DECLINES on day two

New Delhi: Ever since the trailer of ‘Zero’ was unveiled by the makers, movie buffs have been eagerly waiting to see the Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma starrer. The Aanand L Rai directorial set the cash registers jingling by raking in Rs 20.14 crore on its opening day. Trade pundits were expecting the romantic saga to continue the good momentum and witness a rise on the second day. However, ‘Zero’ has witnessed a drop in its box office earnings on Saturday. Zero’s day two box office collection stood at Rs 18.22 crore. After a flying start at the box office, it was expected the film would do well in its first weekend but it seems mixed reviews has affected ‘Zero’. Bollywood trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share Zero’s box office collection. ‘’#Zero slips on Day 2... Biz should’ve witnessed solid growth on Day 2 after an underwhelming Day 1, but is struggling at the BO... Decline on Day 2 [vis-à-vis Day 1]: 9.53%... Fri 20.14 cr, Sat 18.22 cr. Total: ₹ 38.36 cr. India biz,’’ Adarsh wrote on the micro-blogging site. 'Zero', which hit the silver screens on December 21, also stars  Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mohammed Zeeshan in key roles. The film saw several special appearances by Bollywood actors like Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Juhi Chawla, Rani Mukerji, Kajol and R Madhavan. Fans also got to see late actress Sridevi on the silver screens for the very last time. 'Zero', which has been produced by Colour Yellow Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment, will face competition from 'Simmba' at the box office. The Rohit Shetty directorial starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan will release on December 28. Watch this space for more updates!
