Woah! Akshay Kumar to play Prithviraj Chauhan in Yash Raj Films next project?

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, will be soon seen in Reema Kagti’s Gold opposite Mouni Roy, is delivering some of his finest work in all his films be it ‘PadMan’or Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'. Khiladi Kumar is all set to work with Yash Raj Films for a new period film based on warrior Prithviraj Chauhan,  a report in a leading daily said. Interestingly, the 'Rustom' actor is already playing a historic character in Anurag Singh’s Kesari. Grapevines have been buzzing with the rumours of Akki and Aditya Chopra collaborating for a new project since quite some time. There was a buzz that Shimit Amin will direct a film with Akshay Kumar, but a source told DNA that these were baseless rumours. There were rumours that Shimit Amin is directing a film with him, but that’s not true. It’s another project that will be helmed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi,” the report in DNA quoted a source as saying. The source further told the daily that the National Award winning actor was the sole choice to play Prithviraj Chauhan in the period film which will be mounted on a large scale. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who directed Pinjar, has been planning to make a movie on the warrior king for the past two-and-a half-years now, as per the report.

When will the film go on floors The source informed DNA that the film will go on floors after Akshay Kumar finishes the shooting of his much-awaited film ‘Here Pheri 3’.  The Airlift actor will work with YRF after a period of 11 years. His last film with the reputed production house was Tashan. Akshay Kumar will soon entertain the fans with 'Gold' which releases on August 15. Watch this space for more updates.
