WATCH Anushka Sharma REACT to Salman Khan’s ‘raped woman’ comment & ‘Sultan’ being termed SEXIST!

Arfa of 'Sultan', Anushka Sharma called Salman Khan's 'raped woman' comment insensitive and she also reacted to those who think the film is Sexist in a recent interview. In the film, Aarfa plays an ace wrestler and aspires to win an Olympic gold medal but after she gets to know that she is pregnant, she chooses the baby and Sultan over her dream. According to Anushka, her role as Aarfa was not at all regressive and choosing love and her baby was a happy choice she made. Making another valid point, Anushka said that as a woman, personal choices are definitely not regressive. The actress revealed that when she read the script, it made her think as to what must have gone through Aarfa's head that she chose to give up her dream. Putting herself in the place of Aarfa, Anushka said that if she were pregnant and had a film to complete, she would probably choose her child over her career. "I think what it made me realise or made me think of is that all of us, each and everybody, not only celebrities, everyone has a responsibility towards what they speak in any place and not just publically. Whatever you say, you have to be aware of that. I think celebrities more so; you have to be more aware of what you are saying."   "I'm sure there would have been some people who would have thought that 'Yaar humne bhi kabhi kabhi aisi cheeze boli hain.' Because this is something that you hear people say. You hear people say 'Oh man, I just did this and I had such a tough day. I feel raped.' People must realise that this is something that can be taken rightly or it is a word that can be taken so loosely," said Anushka. When asked if the thought of asking Salman to apologise has crossed her mind, Anushka said, "I don't know him well enough to do it, quite honestly. He's an adult man, he knows what he needs to do." He has failed to show up for repeated summons from the National Women's Commission and its Maharashtra counterpart.
